Lake of the Woods is an enormous body of water, around 951,300 acres in size with over 14,000 islands scattered thru-out the lake. Our cabins are at the north-eastern shores of Sabaskong Bay which provides for a well sheltered safe haven for boaters and anglers. Noted as a premier Canadian muskie fishing destination and consistently producing good numbers of fish in the 40 to 50 inch range. Walleye, Northern Pike, bass, perch and crappie are harvested in quality numbers and we have a very healthy lake stock at our location.

Our camp location is no mistake.....we built here for a purpose and that is to be in the optimum prime fishing & hunting area! Some smaller lakes nearby that we can access for some very good fishing.We provide guide / boat day fishing trips. We also have several nicely equipped rental boats and guests are welcome to bring their personal boat/s. I am always open to sharing my knowledge of the lake and the fishing techniques with the guests that are do it yourself. Full kitchenettes with toaster, Coffee Maker (we furnish the filters), gas stove and oven, refrigerator, dishes, cookware, utensils (we furnish dish soap), in door bathroom and showers with all towels and bathroom tissue furnished, bedding linens, propane barbecue grill (we furnish propane), garbage bags, satellite t.v. with your own receiver. Fish cleaning facilities are present and lots of lounging area at the dock deck and cabin.

Enjoy the beauty of a wilderness setting with all the comforts of home at Big North Lodge in Minaki, Ontario. At Big North Lodge you will find a cedar main lodge and 6 cottages all situated along the shoreline to allow a beautiful view of the water. Our camp, with a maximum capacity of 30 guests, is small enough to be considered your own private fishing lodge, but has the advantages of personalized service and hospitality offered by your hosts. Enjoy the beauty of a wilderness setting with all the comforts of home. Fully modern cottages, comfortably furnished, can accommodate 2 to 6 people and as many as 10 to 12 in our large 4 bedroom cottage. All have propane or electric heat, electricity, hot and cold running water, private bathroom with basin, shower, tubs and flush toilet.

The lake is approximately 15 miles long and from it's narrowest point of 100 yards to 2 miles wide, with depths ranging from a few feet in some of the shallow weedy bays to 100 feet at the deepest point which accounts for little or no fish kill due to extreme weather conditions-hot or cold. For the fishing enthusiast there are weed beds, miles of rocky shoreline with scattered fallen trees, rock structure in abundance throughout the lake, providing the ultimate in Muskie, Bass and Walleye fishing. Our cabins range from 1 to 3 bedrooms all with modern bathrooms complete with showers. Carpeted bedrooms, bed linens, pillows and blankets. All kitchens are fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, full size electric ranges, full size refrigerators with freezers, electric toasters and coffee pot. Weber grill by each cabin for cook-outs. We operate on full hydro power. All cabins are positioned for a nice view of the lake. When it comes to hunting Black Bear, Northwestern Ontario is the place to be and our area is among the best. We have a high population of bear here and your chances could not be better. Our area has a good moose population and we offer a few different packages to try to accommodate the needs of most hunters.

Rushing River / Blindfold Lake, Kenora. This "little piece of heaven" started as a fishing camp in the late 1930's. decades to its current state. It is now a fully modern housekeeping resort which can provide a superb fishing experience for the serious fisherman, as well as all of the amenities necessary for a fun-filled vacation. The extensive pool above the falls has a gently sloping, natural sand bottom which provides a wading area for children. No other resort can provide the feeling of peace and seclusion that is produced by our waterfall. The crystal clear waters of Rushing River run through the middle of the camp. The deep pool below the falls is an ideal setting for the regulation Olympic one meter diving board and 20 foot slide. Adventurous guests will hang in the natural whirlpool at the base of the falls.
