Argyle Lake Lodge
Truly a remote wilderness location, Argyle Lake Lodge is set in the James Bay Frontier Bush. Miles from our nearest neighbour, we are the only tourist camp on a series of four lakes. We offer an excellent atmosphere for family vacations. Hunt for moose, bear and grouse, fish for northern pike, walleye, bass, and perch, and explore infinite hiking, ATV and canoeing possibilities, or just relax on our natural sandy beach. There are several trails that loop back to the lodge for great ATV adventures. You can also explore an old abandoned gold mine in the area. All cottages at Argyle Lake Lodge come fully equipped with modern appliances, hot and cold water, showers and electric lights. Cooking utensils, dishes, blankets and pillows are supplied. Auld Reekie Lodge
In Business since 1966 Auld Reekie Lodge has always been known as a service first establishment. With our four star rating, twenty three lake network and 6 species of fish our age old statement is still true today; comparing us to the competition only makes us look better Auld Reekie Lodge offers full service packages during the winter months. We offer Snowmobile rentals, snowmobile clothing rentals, guided tours, dog sled tours and cross country skiing nearby. After enjoying any one of these activities come back to the lodge and enjoy the atmosphere of our licensed dinning room. You may also really want to warm up in our wood fired sauna. Auld Reekie Lodge is situated on Gowganda Lake. We offer you access to fifteen other lakes within the area that can be accessed either by portage from Gowganda Lake or by ATV. We offer the option of additional fly-in lakes within thirty minutes of our remote wilderness location.
Bay Wolf Camp
Bay Wolf Camp is located on the shore of West Shiningtree Lake in the hamlet of Shining Tree. This region of north east Ontario is an accessible wilderness area attracting sportsmen from all over the United States and Canada. Our all-inclusive Fishing Package gives anglers the opportunity to fish on ten different lakes for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, trout, perch, and whitefish. Our Fur/Fin/Feather Package combines fishing with small game hunting and is the ideal choice for the late season sportsman. Enjoy our full Fishing Package plus hunt for ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, snowshoe hares, ducks and geese. Our Black Bear Hunts bring hunters from all over North America and provide both archery hunters and rifle hunters excellent presentations to harvest bears. With the closest neighbour 4 1/2 miles one way, and 9 miles the other way. Plentiful nature trails offer the opportunity to explore the diverse landscape and snap the perfect photograph of grouse, snowshoe rabbit, lynx, black bear, ducks, geese or moose.
Grey Owl Camps
Drive in to our headquarters and then boat out to one of 6 beautiful outpost cabins nestled along the shores of Lake Biscotasi. Each cabin is delightfully decorated with charming Northern touches. All are equipped with propane lights, stove, fridge, woodstoves, showers or saunas, cosy living rooms and comfortable beds. Fish for Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, Whitefish and Brook Trout. We are a reasonably priced alternative to Fly-in. We run a highly successful (small) Bear Hunt for Bow Hunters only. We also have a Moose Hunt for Bow Hunters as well Beautiful Hiking Trails, mapped out canoe trips into our many back bays (1 to 4 Hrs duration) Historic town walking tour, birdwatching, kayaking and splendid solitude Our cabins are located miles from each other to ensure total privacy.
Long Point Lodge
Within the perimeters of the camp your time can be spent swimming on our sandy beach, canoeing and water-skiing. Hiking in the woods can provide hours of fun with activities such as rock hunting, and picking wild blueberries and raspberries. Additional activities around the camp include volleyball, horseshoes, badminton and a children’s playground. Inside, there’s a recreation hall with a T.V., pool table, shuffleboard and ping pong. Of course the main activities are fishing and hunting. There’s a wide variety of fish species to choose from including Walleye (pickerel), Northern Pike, Perch, Whitefish, Bass, Lake and Speckled Trout. You can rent one of our boats or bring your own and enjoy endless hours of fishing pleasure. Once you’ve caught your fill, clean them in our fully equipped fish cleaning house and freeze them for the trip home in our freezers. If you’re new to the area there’s a guide service available to help you locate the hot spots for fishing. For the real enthusiast a fly-in service is also available.
Shining Tree Camp
We are a Housekeeping Cottage Resort located on the shore of Beautiful Shining Tree Lake in the small Northern Ontario village of Shining Tree. Located midway between the cities of Timmins and Sudbury, we are easily accessible by paved highway, but remote enough to provide you with a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Shining Tree is well known as the place to go for a complete variety of fishing and hunting opportunities to suit everyone’s tastes. We will treat you as friend from the minute you arrive and do our best to help you get away from the turmoil of everyday life. If fishing or hunting are not in your vacation plans, we have miles of bush trails for hiking, bird watching, ATV or just get away from it all. For the rock hound, the Shining Tree area has a long history of mining activity. Explore old abandoned gold mines or search along bush trails for treasures for your rock collection.
Spruce Shilling Camp
We are located 3.5 Km. East of Shining Tree, Ont. on Hwy. 560. Our services include gasoline, groceries, bait, tackle, ice, boat and motor rental, licenses and for your convenience we accept Visa and Interac. Modern, warm, clean and comfortable housekeeping cottages are available. All cooking/eating utensils and bedding are supplied. Guests are required to bring their own toiletry items. Shining Tree offers a variety of lakes with various species of fish such as Walleye, Pike, Bass and 4 different kinds of trout. Moose, bear, grouse and other small game provide excellent hunting. We have Hunting and Fishing Packages available. Wintertime offers dozens of frozen lakes for ice fishing as well as miles of old roads and lakes for Cross-Country Skiing. The well-groomed trails provide fun and excitement for avid sledders and we are located just off the “TOP C” trail.
