Discover Fishing Paradise in Timmins, James Bay, and Kesagami!

Welcome to the magical world of fishing in Ontario’s Timmins, James Bay, and Kesagami area! This angler’s paradise offers a wealth of opportunities to cast your line and reel in unforgettable memories.

Start your journey in Timmins, where the serene Mattagami River awaits. Boasting a thriving population of walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass, this river provides an idyllic setting for a day of fishing. As you drift along, take in the captivating scenery and listen to the soothing sounds of nature.

Next, venture up to James Bay, a sprawling coastal expanse teeming with marine life. Here, you’ll encounter trophy-sized brook trout, as well as arctic char and whitefish. With its vast, remote landscape, James Bay delivers an unparalleled fishing experience that transports you to a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Finally, make your way to Kesagami Provincial Park. Known for its massive, trophy-sized northern pike, Kesagami Lake is a must-visit for any serious angler. The lake’s crystal-clear waters offer an unmatched fishing experience, with a catch-and-release policy ensuring the area’s aquatic population remains healthy and plentiful for future generations.

In addition to the exceptional fishing, the Timmins, James Bay, and Kesagami region offers incredible wildlife watching opportunities. Keep your eyes peeled for moose, caribou, and various bird species as you explore this breathtaking area.

Air Cochrane Cas Ltd
James Bay Fly-in Outposts

We truly have some of the most incredible fly in wilderness outpost adventures in Ontario, Canada. If you are looking for a Canadian fly-in trip with excellent pike, walleye and brook trout fishing then you need to look no further than our 20 outpost camps and cabins. We have virgin-quality fishing mainly due to our very progressive catch and release fishing policies that keep the fish in the lake and the fact that we limit the bookings of our outposts to only six weeks per year even though our season runs for 14 weeks. The limited fishing pressure means incredible pike, walleye and brook trout fishing. Our fly in outpost cabins have excellent equipment and we keep cleaned, well stocked outpost camps.

Gowganda Fishing Lodge

Kesagami Wilderness Lodge

North of Cochrane, amid a sprawling and unspoiled wilderness, lies incredible Kesagami Lake – Ontario’s premier trophy northern pike lake. Shallow (averaging 7 feet), stained and rimmed with weedy bays, Kesagami is home to an inestimable number of pike over 40 inches (20 lb) and world-class fish measuring 50 inches (30 lb). Conservative size / possession regulations and a strong live-release awards program are in place, maintaining an exciting trophy fishery for the future. Additionally, Kesagami Lake offers exceptional walleye fishing where rocky shoals, islands and points always hold numbers of fish in the 1 to 4-pound class.  We currently run 20 outpost camps. All of our camps except Nettogami feature the only camp on each of the lakes. (Nettogami features three camps ALL exclusively operated by us. Construction is varied from rustic log to modern plywood to new “cottage-style” siding
